Downtown / Feature Film
Julia, almost 30 and anxious, wants to make a low-budget film to see if she has anything to add to the conversation of cinema. But when the pitch to her friends fails, desperation forces her to collaborate with Alex, a shed-dwelling electronics hobbyist. Alex convinces Julia she doesn’t need people if she has the right equipment. But they’ll need money, and the only one hiring in their small-town is an emotionally unstable patron to the State Museum. After a string of disappointments and humiliations, Julia’s desperation to know if she’s worthy of films drives her to wonder if films are worth it.
